Japan - Kyoto

On the way to Kyoto

Temple in Kyoto

Tight parking!

The most important things for Japanese men - shirt and tie - are possible to find in every little food store in Japan :)

Ryokan Hiraiwa - our "hotel" in Kyoto

Lasse washes the hands before entering the Fushimi temple

A lot of colorful folded cranes - for good luck

Karin is trying on a Kimono - maybe not the best color ;)

Orange Torii gates at the Fushimi sanctuary

In this place some parts of the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha" was filmed

A looot of orange gates!!

Japan - Tsukiji fisk market

An early morning! We took the first subway in the morning to get to the fish market before the tuna auction started.

Tokyo's restaurant owners are investigating which tuna to buy in the auction

It is very important to carefully investigate the quality of the meat with a flash light. The meat shouldn't be too fat nor to lean.
Some of the tuna are really huge!! Many pices of sashimi and sushi must come from a fish like that :)
So many tuna...

There were a lot of other kind of fishes as well at the market, not only tuna.

Difficult to cut a frozen tuna. Three people were involved in the cutting.

Want to buy a fish head?

Time for sushi at 06:30 in the morning :)

but it was the best sushi we have ever eaten, even if it felt a bit strange to have it for breakfast. Soo good! I want to go back to have another one.

Outside Sony Ericsson's office in Tokyo
Tough luck if you are the one that have parked in the back

A very thin house :)

In a restaurant together with some Swedish and Japanese friends. We were living in Ola's apartment - very nice indeed :)

Small small fishes, looking almost like noodles

Examination of a Swedish passport

Crazy Japanese guys :)
